Welcome to the website of The University of Melbourne’s Veterinary Clinic and Hospital. We provide the high quality care expected from one of Australia's leading Veterinary Hospitals.
The hospital provides both a general practice for the local community to receive primary health care for their pets and a referral practice that accepts cases 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The practice is unique in Victoria with the combination of referral services linked to a 24 hour emergency and critical care service. Most patients are from the Melbourne and Geelong areas, but others come from rural Victoria, southern New South Wales, and even as far away as Darwin and Tasmania!
The combination of leading facilities and specialist staff make the Veterinary Clinic and Hospital a busy referral centre of both companion animals and horses. Many of our staff are highly experienced and, as well as seeing patients at the hospital and teaching undergraduates, conduct continuing education for veterinarians nationwide and overseas.
